My products of 2017
A glimpse into my world down here...
So I might have mentioned it once or twice already (it still isn't bothering me I promise) but in October last year I turned 30. I didn't freak out on the day, but I did make a mental decision that it was time that I sorted out my skincare.
I no longer want to buy products just because they are on offer, or because they look good at the time. I want products that I have put the time and effort into my research, products that I know are suitable for vegans and most importantly products which I know work for me.
My research is still in its early stages as I don't want to just throw way the vast amount of products that I have collected over the years, but I wanted to share with you the products that I have started using this year that I hope will be permanent in my collection.
Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel
I know for a large amount of people the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is a cult product and I had to see what all the fuss was about.
From the first use I could see the noticeable difference, and it has just got better and better. I love this product so much that I use it in both my morning and evening skincare and there is no way I am going back.
Pixi Glow Tonic
Similarly Pixi Glow Tonic is a product that so many people out there in the beauty world rave about, and I wanted to know what I was missing.
I have used a toner for years, and it has only ever been cleaning up the last little bits of cleanser or make-up that I missed. It never really occurred to me that it could actually be doing some good as well. With the 5% glycolic acid this makes my skin look brighter even before the make-up.
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion
Thanks to the cleanser and toner my skin has been so much better recently that I hardly have any spots at all. When I do get a spot (thanks hormones) then I use the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion overnight, and by the next day the spot will be gone.
All I have to say about this product is, where the hell was it for the whole of my teenage years?
The Body Shop Matcha Green Tea Facial Mask
Did you know that if you work in the city your skin is going to be bombarded with pollutants which not only block your pores but also ages the skin.
This facial mask has different elements, first of all as you put it onto the skin it is cooling which makes it feel amazing. After you've left it on for ten minutes to do it's magic, the small particles within it act as an exfoliant as you are removing it.
Every time I use this my skin feels so soft that I don't want to cover it with make-up.
